The Australians’ History initiative was completed on the newly refurbished Sandridge Rail bridge. This historic bridge has been transformed into a pedestrian and bike path, linking the north and south banks of the Yarra. The Australians’ History initiative, located on the bridge, records the history of Victoria’s and Australia’s growth on a series of glass panels and interactive electronic touch screen. The six interactive electronic touch screens, which provide visitors access to additional Indigenous and immigration data, including information on the historic Sandridge bridge, source country images, and print outs of the country information from the glass panels.
